Our Why
We believe that rivers are both a vital life source and an important environment for wellbeing and leisure, and we want to preserve the health of rivers for the sake of the natural environment and the mental welfare of humankind.
Our Vision
We want to create a universal understanding of river health among local communities and nationally, and agreement across the board on the programmes and regulations required to protect the UK’s rivers from pollution and other threats.
Flowing into its 3rd year, the UK River Summit and Festival at Morden Hall is an independent event that brings together environmental leaders, policymakers, scientists, activists, artists, creatives and community members to discuss and develop solutions for the critical challenges facing the UK's rivers. The summit features a series of panels, hands-on workshops, exhibitions and networking opportunities designed to inspire and empower participants to take collective action towards the conservation and restoration of river ecosystems.
Our Mission
To inspire and empower communities, organisations and individuals to take collaborative and coordinated action to promote the health and sustainability of rivers. This will be achieved through running educational initiatives, encouraging and facilitating creative expression, fostering dialogue and providing practical solutions.

Using our discussions on the freshwater emergency and imminent water shortages as an example, the Summit is not just a talk shop. As with the rest of the day, the participants and attendees were engaged in considering practical solutions to the challenges facing our rivers, and how we will work together with urgency to implement them. Learn About Us
On 13th June 2023, we invited the public to the first UK River Summit, hosted on the banks of the River Test. The event successfully brought together some of the country’s most influential environmental speakers and experts to talk about the state of our rivers in the UK and the action needed.
